FINAL SNEAK PEEK - LEAVE ME LONELY
Tomorrow, ASH LEY returns with Leave Me Lonely, and we have a sneak peek for you!
I wrapped my arms around Frederick, waiting for him to do the same. Waiting
for him to tell me everything would be okay like he always would but I got nothing. I wasn’t sure
how long I prayed for things to change, but when it grew pitch black outside, pouring down rain,
I knew it had to have been an hour if not longer. Funny, because I didn’t recall the forecast even
mentioning rain, but I heard it loudly beating against the windows and doors as the occasional
bolt of lightning flashed, providing a bit of light to an otherwise completely dark house.
I was praying, like never before, for a change, but when it didn’t happen, I had no choice
but to face my ugly reality. I’d just lost the man I planned on spending the rest of eternity with
along with an ex husband who did me more harm than good. I had no strength left. No energy.
All I had was breath in my body but I no longer wanted it. I crawled towards Fabian, retrieving
the gun out of his cold, lifeless hand. I then mimicked his last gesture, held towards my head and
pulled the trigger.

I screamed out, flinging the weapon into the wall realizing there wasn’t another bullet in
the chamber. I couldn’t understand why God was being so cruel. Why he insisted that I was left
to dwell and deal with this type of hurt. It was torture and I couldn’t imagine living the rest of
my life with this sort of pain, let alone another second. It’s the reason I stood to my feet and
entered the kitchen, bumping into boxes and furniture in the process. I felt around the
countertops, looking for the knife holder.
Once I located it, I was grabbing the largest knife I could and took it from one side of my
wrist to the other. Blood poured from the open slit, decorating the tile flooring. One minute
passed and then another, yet I was still alive. Figuring that God was giving me the time to call
someone and tell them about what I’d done, I tried walking, only to grow woozy. Before I
realized it, I was on the ground. I crawled my way back towards Fabian; Towards Frederick and
rested my head on his chest. I dug inside of his pocket, retrieving his cell phone. To my surprise
it was vibrating away. It was his mom, saving me the trouble of having to call out to 911 myself.
“Hello? Hello?!” She asked.
“I- We need an ambulance.” I whispered.
The phone fell from my hand as my body grew weak. Still, I sat myself up so that I could get one
final look at him. At the love of my life. This one and the next.
